Erika Dycus is a licensed dietitian-nutritionist and the driving force behind Barefoot Nurse Nutritionist. She began her career in healthcare as a registered nurse in 2008, working with the medically fragile across a variety of settings, including post-acute and hospice care. She obtained her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from Northeast College of Health Sciences in 2016 and interned under the esteemed Rebecca Snow. She opened her private practice in 2022 and has served hundreds of people across Illinois. Erika understands the challenges of navigating complex nutrition information and the barriers of cost in receiving holistic care. That’s why she works with major insurance plans to provide affordable, comprehensive wellness support. Her mission is to empower her clients with the knowledge and guidance needed to live a healthier, more balanced life—mind, body, and spirit.
