Kate Zalewski owns Your Kidney Dietitian, a Chicago based private practice focused on nutrition for kidney health.

In her 12+ years in the field of nutrition she has worked with all types of patients, but eventually found her passion working with people with kidney disease.

Kate graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Medical Dietetics, and went on to work as a WIC dietitian, an inpatient and outpatient dietitian in a 200-bed community hospital, a retail dietitian for a large grocery store chain, and finally, as a renal dietitian with one of the nation’s largest dialysis providers. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition.

In her free time she enjoys running on the Chicago lakefront, working on sewing projects, reading books, and spending time with her husband and their three feline companions.
